• Age – 12 points max

• Education – 25 points max

• Language skills (English / French) – 28 points max

• Work experience – 15 points max

• A Job offer – 10 points max

• Adaptability (or: sponsorship) – 10 points max

• Mention Your Educational Attainment in Canada. If you have studied in Canada previously and have a certificate or degree, this can significantly help your CRS score. Alternatively, you also have the option to obtain a student visa and later apply for a PR work permit.

  Even a 1-year diploma that was achieved 8 years ago can help you claim points so long as it is valid. For your credentials to be valid, you must have attained it within the Canadian border. To verify, get an ECA report to prove your educational attainment.

  Express Entry considers your educational attainment whether you gained work experience in the field you studied or not.
